The Frederick County African-American Chamber of Commerce (FCAACC) was founded on April of 2003. Its founders, Willie Mahone, W. Betron Hill, Jr., and Moyo Edun, among others, saw the need to provide the area’s African-American business owners links to resources that will help them better position their businesses to compete and prosper.

The FCAACC works to achieve its goals through workshops, Speakers' Series, networking events, member business referrals and patronage, listing in the widely distributed FCAACC Business Directory, etc. The FCAACC also works with the Frederick City and County Governments, on behalf of its members, and the minority community in general, to monitor minority business participation to ensure fair access to government contracts.

T
he Frederick County African-American Chamber of Commerce has helped its members make connections with Fort Detrick, the Frederick Housing Authority, the Small Business Administration in Baltimore, etc. The FCAACC also worked with the other chambers of commerce in the community to help the City of Frederick set the criteria for its Micro Economic Loan program.

FCAACC membership is open to organizations and individuals who want to support African-American businesses.
